		<description>Dear Javad,

I’d say that if you want to be a basis consultant for SAP &amp; Netweaver specific products, pretty much you should be comfortable with and start focusing on:

- Java
- Web AS
- ABAP
- Netweaver Platform
- Solution Manager
- SAP Basis tools
- NWDI is also a plus given the current client landscapes that do custom builds or modify standard Portal applications

Besides the installation aspects, the more you know about trouble shooting, known issues and common pitfalls, the better. I’d recommend you to look into SAP training sessions. And remember that a great way to learn is in a real live client environment, learning from errors (beware don&#039;t do them in production systems :) ) and by reading a lot. It is more than normal that you are confused about all the terms, applications, systems, etc. around SAP. It happened to all of us as soon as we started. I also recommend you to browse to the SDN library and take a look at official SAP product information on Netweaver - it is a good idea to get familiar on the Netweaver detail and backbone, specially if you&#039;re a system administrator.

Good luck.
Regards
