The SAP NetWeaver specific enhancements are add-ons to the Eclipse Memory Analyzer. The Eclipse Memory Analyzer is a fast and feature-rich Java heap analyzer that helps you find memory leaks and reduce memory consumption.
The SAP JVM Profiler helps you analyze the memory & CPU consumption of your Java application. It is easy to integrate into your daily development cycle, since it can be used on demand and comes without any setup efforts if you use a SAP JVM or a current version of the NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1. This is a preview version of the product, which is still under development. Nevertheless it can already provide you very helpful information about the runtime behavior and optimization potential of your application.
SAP presents applications to users in the SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP EP). You can change user interface themes with the “Portal Theme Editor” that is part of the Enterprise System Administration role. The Web Dynpro Client for Windows is a graphical user interface (GUI) intended for displaying Web Dynpro applications. Since Web Dynpro is based on a new programming model, it is not possible to use SAP GUI for Windows to display these applications. The so-called “integrated Web Dynpro Client for Windows” provides a solution to this problem. (Web AS 6.40, 776 B).
Business Logic Development for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio with “visual rules” is a tool for the rapid development of business logic for Java-based web applications directly out of Developer Studio. The Web Dynpro Client for Java (which is browser-independent) has been integrated into the SAP GUI for Java. You can use the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to create Web Dynpro applications and try them within the Web Dynpro Client for Java. (Web AS 6.40, 18.3 MB).
The SQL Tool for SAP ABAP Programmers provides JOINS within SAP systems to confirm or discover relationships and to see data side by side. The SQL interface brings out the linkages. The SAP Chart Designer is a tool for defining customizing settings for the Chart Engine (XMLCHART of the IGS). The developer can select a chart type, enter texts for the titles and change any other chart properties as required. After saving the XML file, it can be used as customizing input for an IGS chart. ThreadDumpScan is a simple Java J2SE application that scans Java VM console output and generates summary tables for verbose:gc output and full thread dumps found in the console log. (J2SE SDK 1.4.2+ or JRE 1.4.2+, 476 KB).
The SAP J2EE Log Configuration Tool can be used to modify the logging settings in the whole cluster or in parts of the cluster, not only on one node. What is unique in this tool is the possibility to complete specific operations, e.g. back-up of the current log configuration, change previous back-up, even if the cluster is stopped.
